Beautiful Rwanda!!

Rwanda – The country of a thousand hills at the heart of Africa.

Rwanda's conical mountains are shrouded in equatorial jungles and this helped earn the country the well-deserved moniker of                                              ‘Le Pays des Mille Collines’  (The Land of a Thousand Hills).

Rwanda really lives up to its name with scenic landscapes, idyllic rolling hills, and mountains beyond mountains.

Rwanda - The country of a thousand smiles

Apart from being the safest spot for vacation in Africa, Rwanda also ranks high in the World and FIRST in Africa among the happiest countries to live in. The gentle smiles and liquid eyes of Rwandans hide NOT a thing.
While in the land of a thousand hills, tourists can enjoy the incredibly rewarding and inspiring experience of spending some time with the warm and welcoming locals.
The joyous mood around the country manifests itself in the way Rwandans celebrate life. Music and dance being the main features of every festivity or ceremony around the country, it is very common to find ballets dancing in various events.

Lucky visitors may chance upon spontaneous traditional performances in a village, so mesmerizing that they can’t help but sit and observe.

Even more exclusive, African Mountain Explorer can arrange a performance of the traditional dance troupe.'

Rwanda has really been through a lot, but its remarkable people have turned their heartaches into patience, love, and gratitude for life. Miraculous transformation has been wrought and today Rwanda is one of tribal unity, political stability and a promising future.

Rwanda - The country of a thousand attractions

Rwanda being one of the remaining strongholds of up to two thirds of the world's mountain gorillas, aggressive conservation efforts in the last 10 years have helped breed around 179 mountain gorilla infants, usually cerebrated and given names during the “Kwita Izina” ceremonies, inspired by the Rwandan baby naming tradition following the birth of a new baby.

For savvy travelers, Rwanda is commonly known for its stunning Mountain Gorillas, which explains why visitors swoop in to track gorillas and then fly out without exploring the other magical treasures including a variety of landscapes, wildlife sight-seeing in the national parks, and the tropical white sandy beach on the shores of the biggest Lake of this beautiful country - Lake Kivu.

Rwanda, with over 700 species of birds among which is a large number of endemics, is considered to be a bird watchers' paradise especially for Americans who are big birds enthusiasts. It has also got a wide range of primates including golden monkeys, chimpanzees or chimps, etc.

You cannot really tell what it is about this country, but it simply has a special spirit to it.  You feel at ease in Rwanda–it’s CLEAN, SAFE, and FRIENDLY.

An opportunity to visit this beautiful country is not to be missed.

A holiday in Rwanda

Consider going to Africa If you have never been there. Many people around the world travel to this continent to have a look at it while others are fully scared of going to Africa. But when you get here all the expectations read from your recent books shade away because what you see is different. Perceptions change when you land in Africa. Apart from the poor communities you will find as move deep down in villages, the people are quite friendly and welcome to foreigners it’s not like Europe. The undulating climates which slightly changes from place to place in far distances, topographies, vegetation variations, cultures and the different languages coupled with different tribes is all you will find in Africa. But still you have to remember that Africa is still a virgin island where you will find plenty of wildlife seen nowhere else in the world.

For those whose interest falls in the wild hosts, then you must take choices of where you have to go. Not every single part of the continent is filled with wild animals, but you must consider going to places like Kenya Tanzania, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. These countries host very interesting wildlife, different and interesting culture of people and some endangered species you will find nowhere. Africa vacations are like any other vacation you will take in other r places, where you make pre-bookings of your accommodations, transport and visas. But there are some African countries where you don’t need to book a visa when going there; like Rwanda the visa is free and you get it on arrival at the airport or on the border areas. In Uganda you pay a fee of 50 dollars but still you don’t make a pre-booking. However countries like Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo have special interests why tourists prefer them to other countries. Then you need to seriously consider going on one of the many Africa tours available to tourists.
These tours will take you to places that you have seen in movies and heard or read about on the news. You will be shocked seeing the animals in real life and not behind some glass or wire cage.  Take an example of the mountain Gorillas in Uganda Rwanda and Congo, where you will come in face to face with the Mountain Gorillas in the jungles of Bwindi impenetrable forest, Volcanoe National Park, and the Virunga Mountains respectively. This is a life time experience people take on in the African jungles which involves trekking and hiking the mountainous areas where these apes take their homes. There are so many sites that most people miss simply because they did not know they were there. This is why getting a tour guide will help (Africa Mountain Explorer). They know when the best time to see things is, and can get you there quickly so that no moment of your vacation is wasted trying to figure out what to do or where to go next. So turn all your troubles over to the guide and let them show you the side of Africa that many can only hope to see someday.
