Beautiful Rwanda!!

Rwanda – The country of a thousand hills at the heart of Africa.

Rwanda's conical mountains are shrouded in equatorial jungles and this helped earn the country the well-deserved moniker of                                              ‘Le Pays des Mille Collines’  (The Land of a Thousand Hills).

Rwanda really lives up to its name with scenic landscapes, idyllic rolling hills, and mountains beyond mountains.

Rwanda - The country of a thousand smiles

Apart from being the safest spot for vacation in Africa, Rwanda also ranks high in the World and FIRST in Africa among the happiest countries to live in. The gentle smiles and liquid eyes of Rwandans hide NOT a thing.
While in the land of a thousand hills, tourists can enjoy the incredibly rewarding and inspiring experience of spending some time with the warm and welcoming locals.
The joyous mood around the country manifests itself in the way Rwandans celebrate life. Music and dance being the main features of every festivity or ceremony around the country, it is very common to find ballets dancing in various events.

Lucky visitors may chance upon spontaneous traditional performances in a village, so mesmerizing that they can’t help but sit and observe.

Even more exclusive, African Mountain Explorer can arrange a performance of the traditional dance troupe.'

Rwanda has really been through a lot, but its remarkable people have turned their heartaches into patience, love, and gratitude for life. Miraculous transformation has been wrought and today Rwanda is one of tribal unity, political stability and a promising future.

Rwanda being one of the remaining strongholds of up to two thirds of the world's mountain gorillas, aggressive conservation efforts in the last 10 years have helped breed around 179 mountain gorilla infants, usually cerebrated and given names during the “Kwita Izina” ceremonies, inspired by the Rwandan baby naming tradition following the birth of a new baby.

For savvy travelers, Rwanda is commonly known for its stunning Mountain Gorillas, which explains why visitors swoop in to track gorillas and then fly out without exploring the other magical treasures including a variety of landscapes, wildlife sight-seeing in the national parks, and the tropical white sandy beach on the shores of the biggest Lake of this beautiful country - Lake Kivu.

Rwanda, with over 700 species of birds among which is a large number of endemics, is considered to be a bird watchers' paradise especially for Americans who are big birds enthusiasts. It has also got a wide range of primates including golden monkeys, chimpanzees or chimps, etc.

You cannot really tell what it is about this country, but it simply has a special spirit to it.  You feel at ease in Rwanda–it’s CLEAN, SAFE, and FRIENDLY.

An opportunity to visit this beautiful country is not to be missed.
